Acidity ; Some easy remedies to resolve them

Acidity is a condition where you stomach acids comes up in the esophagus and causes irritation and feels like a burning sensation.
Acidity has become very common these days affecting almost everyone atleast once in a lifetime. Some of the leading reasons behind acidity is Stress, Anxiety, altered biological clock, sedentary lifestyle, eating junk food, excessive alcohol, cigarette smoking, popping pain killers for pains and many more.
We end up taking antacids , which can be deleterious to our health in long term.
Follow any one of the advices given below:
Ø Chew fennel seeds (Sauff) in case of acidity. Fennel seeds contain an oil which aids in digestion.
Ø Soak cumin seeds at night and boil the water in morning so that the quantity of water is reduced to half. drink the water empty stomach in the morning.
Ø Take a pinch of hing and 1/4 tbsp of carrom seeds , roast in desighee in a spoon . Cool it and have it with water , 30 minutes before your meal. It will aid in digestion and help reduce acidity.
Ø Eating Jaggery (Gur)/ banana/ almonds or lemon helps in quick relief from acidity.
Ø Clove has a carminative effects ( helps in digestion) and quickly relieves acidity and heartburn. Chew 2-3 clove ; till they keep releasing their juices.
Ø In a glass of warm water put pinch of black pepper powder (Kali Mirch) and squeeze half a lemon and drink it regularly in the morning empty stomach. It helps in clearing of stomach and brings relief from acidity.
Ø Harad ( (Chebulic Myrobalan) powder is very good in relieving acidity and the headaches caused by acidity. It helps balance the vata dosha & is one of the component of the triphala powder.
Ø Drinking lukewarm water (half to one glass) on an empty stomach in the morning is effective for acidity.
Ø Drinking coconut water (half to one glass) , kokum water is beneficial to get rid of acidity problem.
Ø Add some mint leaves (around 6-7) in water and simmer it for about 10-15 minutes. Take it every day after lunch.
Chanting 'RAM' pronounced as rum daily for 21 times helps aiding digestion process along with self healing of the digestive organs. It basically balances your Manipura chakra or solar plexus.
