Malalignment Syndrome can be described as any sort of asymmetry in alignment of pelvis, spine & extremities leading to an umbrella of symptoms which include pain in multiple joints , uneven weight bearing patterns, increased frequency of injuries during physical activities; hence syndrome.
In this blog I will talk about how to identify this Malalignment Syndrome on your own . There are 4 easy ways to see for yourself whether you have this miserable malalignment syndrome -
Check your footwear; which you have been wearing for more than 6 months . Follow the steps-
1) Put your hand on the insole of the shoe or slipper and compare right & left whether one is more weathered.
2) Check the outsoles of your foot if one is more weathered than the other. for this you can measure the thickness of the outer sole of both your shoes.

3) Wet your feet and stand on a brown cardboard and see the weight bearing pattern of your feet whether it is different for both the feet.
Check your clothes; see if the lower, leggings, jeans , trousers or tights that you are wearing are slightly rotated towards one side or there are more creases on one leg.
Check your posture ; Stand in front of mirror and check your shoulder level ; whether one is more elevated along with elevation or sideways shift of shoulder blades. Check the level of your knees .
Check your Spine: check whether there is a sideways curve in the spine, or shift of the body to one side.
